After his calm response to missing a perfect game due to a blown call, at the following baseball game, Armando Galarraga receives a Corvette for his sportsmanship and professionalism . Kudos to Jim Joyce for admitting his mistake (you have to feel for him). He is an example to many others who don’t take responsibility for their actions or inactions. Kudos to Galarraga for handling the situation well. Best wishes to both of them. Both are victims of the lack of sufficient instant replay in baseball.

@leo96r1 well so …
@leo96r1 well so Galarraga had thrown a perfect game so far. Which means nobody on the opposing team had gotten on base. It’s even better than a no-hitter. But with 2 outs in the ninth inning the ump blows a call and costs Galarraga the perfect game.

@leo96r1 – With 2 …
@leo96r1 – With 2 outs in the ninth, Cabrera backhands a ground ball. Galarraga races to cover first. Cabrera throws to Galarraga? and Galarraga tags the bag a split second before the runner. The ump believes the runner touched first, so he calls the runner safe. Replay shows that Galarraga touched the bag first.
